Christian Dior “Dior My Dior” – Luxury Phone

Announced back in May, the first mobile phone to bear the Christian Dior name will be available in two versions that differ only in terms of price and the luxury materials used in the manufacturing process.

Named "My Dior", the handset comes in a clamshell form factor and has features that include a 2.6 inch internal TFT display with a QVGA resolution (240 x 320 pixels), a 2 Megapixel photo camera,
a user interface designed in the spirit of Christian Dior's products and exclusive ringtones. These are the only features unveiled until now, so we assume the phone is - from the technical point of view - a mid-end one.

While the first version of My Dior is a regular one, having a retail price of "only" $5,000 (about 3,170 Euros), the second one is much more expensive, retailing for $26,000 (around 16,500 Euros). The high price is justified by the fact that this version of the handset is dressed in crocodile leather and 640 Swarovski crystals. Of course, "justified" is not exactly a good term, since the price is huge when compared to the actual value of the phone and its stones, but luxury products are always sold for more than they're actually worth, so we shouldn't be surprised by the price of this My Dior.

Mobiado Professional 105GMT Gold is a weird looking mechanical watch mobile phone

Mobiado is out with

yet another ultra expensive mobile phone called Mobiado Professional 105GMT Gold. As “usual” when it comes to Mobiado, the new device is made out of high quality (read: expensive), materials like sapphire crystal, Ebony wood and gold (the phone’s frame is CNC-machined and finished with a 24-Carat gold coating).

However, what sets this Mobiado apart from their other products and what at the same time makes the device look kinda weird-ish is that it combines a mobile phone with a mechanical watch, incorporated into the lower side of the case. The “watch part” is also luxurious and has 25 jeweled bearings that are gold-painted and protected by Mobiado’s 3D shock absorbing system.

Rest of the specs include quad-band GSM/GPRS/EDGE (850/900/1800/1900 MHz) radio, dual-band 3G (850/2100 MHz), 2-inch QVGA screen, Bluetooth 1.2 + EDR, 2 megapixel camera, 1GB of on-board memory. Nokia (NYSE: NOK)’s Series 40 5th Edition platform is running the show in the back.

As for the size, the Mobiado Professional 105GMT Gold measures 128×47.5×10.6 mm and has a weight of 241.4 grams. The price was not announced, but we do know the phone/watch will be available to 50 quickest buyers, only.

Boucheron – DRESSING VERTU

Luxury fashion is about sending a message of confidence, ease, tastefulness and pride and a recent collaboration between the very well known bespoke ‘House of Boucheron’ and luxury mobile phone company ‘Vertu’ proves just that bringing about the result of a collection of seven magnificent mobile phones. This creative co-existence also marks and celebrates Boucheron’s 150th anniversary and in the maisons own words ” combines its luxury savoir-faire with Vertu’s modern technology”.

The collection consists of a set of unique mobile phone designs in accordance with the aesthetics of both Boucheron and Vertu, adorned with gold, rubies, sapphires and other precious stones with elaborate, complicated designs. Each individually named Audacious, Voluptuous, Curious, Gourmand, Magic, Dangerous and Mysterious the designs of these seven signature phones are inspired by the “Seven Muses” of the Enchanting Boucheron collection. And should you find the adornments a bit too much for a certain occasion, Boucheron has had the insight to make the pieces of jewellery that adorn the phones detachable and thus able to be worn separately as a pendant.

Elegant, sleek and stylish, this mobile phone collection is one of a kind. And with the design and luxury of the mobile phone fast becoming a must for the devoted and in some cases “very rich fashionista”, you wouldn’t want to pass up an opportunity to get one of these crazy beautiful phones. Above all, a mobile phone is one of the most important accessories you take around so don’t let your fashion fall short where it’s most important. Bearing all of that in mind, it’s safe to say these aren’t going cheap, unless your earnings fall into the disposable category of course.
